What is the Big Pine Comedy Festival?
A 4-day Comedy Festival in beautiful Flagstaff, AZ. In 2017 Big Pine featured 72+ events, 70 national comedians in stand up and 8 improv/sketch groups, 12 of Flagstaff's favorite venues, workshops & seminars, children's programming, after parties, a sketch video premiere, book signings, and more!
In addition, Big Pine Comedy Festival is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization. Big Pine is committed enriching the Arizona art community through art education by sponsoring Arizona elementary school art education programming. In addition, each year Big Pine features workshops, performances, and promotions of live art.
What kind of events?
Big Pine has something for everyone! Our weekend schedule offers nightly performances in stand up, improv, sketch, and musical comedy. Additionally, Big Pine showcases multiple 'one night only' appearances from nationally produced shows. The 2017 schedule included Ya Feel!?, This Week Sucks, Tonight!, The Glow Show, Drunken Spelling Bee, and more.
Daytime programming at Big Pine includes free educational workshops and seminars, book readings/signing from Big Pine featured Authors, events for children, live podcasting, and sketch videos showcases.
What kind of workshops & seminars do you offer?
Big Pine workshops & seminars focus on art education and career advancement in the entertainment industry. They are free to the public.
Events for children?
Yes! During our 2017 fest we hosted a children's book reading, Kid's Improv workshop, and Kid-Tooning with cartoonist and comedian Mary Gallagher! Please stay tuned for a full schedule of 2018 children's events available.
When can I submit?
Submissions for Big Pine 2018 will be open in early March 2018. Please check back or follow us on social media for more information an updates.
